RPS Mission

RPS is dedicated to building the capacity of Colorado communities and organizations in planning, implementing, and evaluating effective prevention programs, policies, and practices through a regionally based statewide system. Our mission also includes providing linkages between local and state level decision-making.

RPS Beginnings

The Regional Prevention Services project (RPS), began in the year 2000 as a contract awarded by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division (ADAD) now known as Division of Behavioral Health v(DBH) of the Colorado Department of Human Services. The project created a centralized vision and mission for a regional prevention system to offer training and technical assistance responsive to cultural differences and the varying practical needs of communities throughout Colorado.

The RPS Vision

Prevention oriented communities equipped to carry out effective prevention/intervention efforts that improve health and well being.
