Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training (SAPST)

The Mission of the SAPST
The training is designed to provide an understanding of the discipline of the prevention of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse as it relates to communities, providers and volunteers, in a fun, creative unique training that begins where people are at, and which includes application.

Training Format
The training format is set up as a 4-day workshop-style structure that may be split into 2, 2-day sessions or, a 4-day consecutive session depending on the location of the training. The format of the training requires participants to attend the training from beginning to end. The training is composed of eight modules in all.

**It is imperative that you attend the training in full. This is a highly interactive and participatory class and out of respect for the other participants, those coming in late, leaving early or missing modules will not be able to receive a certificate of completion. Please be mindful of your ability to be in attendance before you register.
